MARS Pond Aeration System: Unique Features

1. Venturii Effect: the unique, effective design of the MARS Pond Aerator is composed of two elements. (You can learn more about this in our Pond Blog.) 1) A coarse bubble, static tube aerator, which is surrounded by 2) fine bubble diffusers. When functioning from the bottom of a pond, both components work in tandem to create an upward movement of water that pulls oxygen-deprived water from the lowest part of the pond and propels it towards the surface. Here, it is exposed to a water column of thousands of fine bubbles where oxygen is plentifully restored - this can stop pond problems such as pond algae growth, pond odors, fish kills, and water clarity issues. 2. High efficiency, self-cleaning membranes: the fine bubble diffusers utilized on the MARS Pond Aerator are equipped with EPDM membranes that have proven to have a one of the highest Oxygen Transfer Efficiencies (OTE) in laboratory tests. The membranes are designed to be self cleaning, therefore lowering the risk fouling that can lead to diminished oxygen transfer over time. Additionally this results in less maintenance and upkeep on the system, allowing it to do its job effectively without having to be tended to often.
   
3. Minimal maintenance design: the cleverly engineered design of the MARS Pond Aerator positions the fine bubble diffusers 12” above the pond sediment in order to avoid the clogging and fouling that has plagued conventional fine bubble aerators. No clogging means no cleaning and a well-functioning pond aeration system. This also prevents back pressure and allows for lower energy costs.
   
4. Self checked coarse bubble diffusers: the coarse bubble diffuser utilized by the MARS Pond Aerator is specially designed with anti-clogging technology that has positive backflow sealing. This prevents backflow of water and debris into the unit and again lessens maintenance.
   
5. Proprietary air regulation system: both aeration components are supplied air via a proprietary regulation system that regulates the air distribution between the fine and coarse bubble components at a specified rate. Basically, this means that your MARS Pond Aerator will provide you with just the right amount of mixing and oxygenation to create a healthy pond ecosystem.
